Cecil Archbold - COMMERCIAL VOICEOVER
VOICE OVERS FOR COMMERCIALS
Commercials… Watch TV and you’ll see em. Listen to radio and you’ll hear em. Browse the internet and you’ll experience em. However you get your content, you will encounter commercials. A commercial advertisement is programming that’s produced for the purpose of soliciting an action. It could be for the purchase of a product or service. Or to ask for donations. It may be to simply generate awareness or promote an idea. These commercials are paid for by organizations who have a goal of getting you to do something. If the goals of the organization line up with your goals, then you move. If the goals don’t line up, then you don’t move.
A tremendous amount of work goes into the development of commercials. Research is conducted to determine the WHO, WHAT, WHEN and WHERE.

So, what is Commercial Voiceover? When you come across a commercial advertisement and you hear a voice but don’t see a face… That’s Voiceover! That’s where I come in. I’m a professional voice actor. More than just a voice, I’ve been trained to consider all the elements above while I say the words. I take time to understand the goals of the advertiser and I use that understanding to customer tailor my delivery. Oh and I do know that the advertising world is continuously changing. I regularly train with the voiceover industry’s best coaches so that I remain on top of industry trends.
